Under the current model, new episodes of Stargirl premiere on DC Universe on Mondays before airing (in lightly edited form) on The CW on Tuesday nights. Variety reports that Stargirl’s ratings on Tuesday nights are consistent with other Arrowverse offerings, an encouraging sign, as this show is a delight. Stargirl was conceived and produced as a DC Universe original, along the lines of other high profile live action efforts like Titans, Swamp Thing, and Doom Patrol....

Yet for some reason, the number one dream fighting game match-up has never happened. Yes, we’re talking about Street Fighter vs. Mortal Kombat. These two giants of the fighting game industry have never exchanged blows despite being household names from the very beginning of the fighting game boom of the early 1990s. The Affair Season 4 Episode 6 “Hey Pot, I’m Kettle, nice to meet you.” The Affair has been touch and go as of late and while certain characters have perhaps been a let down, “406” heads in the right direction and it finds interesting ground to explore in terms of the ancillary relationships in people’s lives and how they can have drastic effects on how they treat others. For instance, the episode weighs in with Janelle and her ex-husband, Carl, and the baggage that then puts on both Anton and Noah....

Most male monsters in fiction are made by women. One role Connery never got to play was Arthur Conan Doyle’s legendary detective, Sherlock Holmes. But he did come close, playing a character who was based at least in part on Holmes, in the 1986 movie The Name of the Rose. Based on the best-selling 1980 novel by Italian historian, philosopher and author Umberto Eco, the book and the film are set in 1327, as a Franciscan monk named William of Baskerville (Connery) and his young novice Adso of Melk (Christian Slater) travel to a remote abbey in northern Italy that’s home to an order of Benedictine monks, ostensibly for a high-stakes debate between the Franciscan order and emissaries of the Vatican over the poverty of Christ....

But this is not so so for Justin and Aaron (co-directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead), two brothers who fled “a crazy UFO death cult” 10 years ago and don’t have much to show for it in the meantime. They eke out a living cleaning empty apartments for incoming tenants, munching on ramen in vacated kitchens they’ll never actually inhabit. Weekly reprogramming sessions also aren’t doing much for Aaron, the younger of the two, whose indistinct memories of the cult are definitely rose-tinted....

After four years off air, The Eric Andre Show returns to Adult Swim on Oct. 26 with a complete 180. The new set is bright, colorful, and ritzy. “I wanted the set to be Liberace inspired,” Andre told Den of Geek ahead of the season 5 premiere. “I just wanted to do everything the opposite.” The changes to the show are not only cosmetic. Andre’s longtime sidekick Hannibal Buress quits the show after the first episode, and is replaced by a clone....
