Marvel told us pretty early on that its Scarlet Witch spinoff series WandaVision would set up the events of Doctor Strange 2, but during the final episode some fans were a little disappointed by the lack of a Benedict Cumberbatch appearance that might have explained just how closely these two projects might be connected. However, there was quite a big Doctor Strange 2 connection for movie geeks who were paying close enough attention during WandaVision’s final post credits scene – it was just a little more subtle than most people were expecting....

Doom Patrol Episode 13 A Man of Muscle Mystery arrives on the scene in Doom Patrol Episode 13, while Rita has a cathartic journey that propels her into a leadership role, and right into the hands of Mr. Nobody. “Flex Patrol” is another solid episode, but doesn’t have the same weight of the series highlights, even though it would appear the team is finally getting together. Primarily, April Bowlby needs to be highlighted for her work this week....

In true Dragon Age fashion (at least as far as this project is concerned) the trailer doesn’t give us much to work with. Don’t you just love the endless teasing of a high-profile game? Doesn’t that always justify the drawn-out hype rather than lead to titles that fail to live up to overblown expectations or the burdens of years worth of anticipation? The biggest takeaway from this trailer is the official return of Solas; a character whose involvement was only hinted at during Dragon Age‘s 2018 teaser....

Kid Donald and Della are the best. The absolute freaking best. Donald’s grumpy grunge boy attitude, Della’s infectious adventuring spirit, they’re both wonderful contrasts to each other that make this episode a blast. Now normally I’m not a big fan of “what if character but they are kid/baby.” Oh sure it’s a license to print money for most franchises but it often lacks a soul. Not here though. DuckTales is too good for that....

Contextually, Blade Runner 2049 was to be the big-budget crowd-pleasing coming out party for Villeneuve, who was riding a wave of critical momentum from 2016 sci-fi drama Arrival, which even earned him a Best Director Oscar nomination. Indeed, he was on a steady upward trajectory from preceding buzz-worthy hits Prisoners (2013), Enemy (2013) and Sicario (2015). Consequently, said coming out party—the belated sequel to director Ridley Scott’s 1982 future-noir cult classic—ballooned to a budget upwards of $150 million....

Shippy can barely contain his excitement, and he makes it quite contagious. He truly enjoys exploring Gein’s hometown of Plainfield, Wisconsin. Every room in every building has a story to tell, though he sometimes seems anxious to get out of the woods. Kaza is mesmerizing as she slips into undead energies, and lets the story tell itself through the automatic writing of paranormal TV. The townspeople are, well, creepy. Besides all resembling the actor cast as the sinister Gein in the recreations, almost any local resident can provide deep insight on the town’s most notorious resident....

While you can obviously beat Elden Ring using some of the other builds that we’ve previously recommended (or one of the many other viable character build options in this game), I need you to know that I’m not exaggerating when I say that the following builds are truly broken. Many of them take advantage of mechanics that are either among the most powerful in the game or interactions that are very likely not working as intended and typically lead to hilarious results....

EVE Online is a game of grand strategies, petty betrayals, and ridiculous player-driven stories, but at it’s very core, it is a game about spaceships. Spaceships are the heart and soul of EVE, serving a dual role as a player’s avatar and the class they have chosen to play. These unique vessels come in many different shapes and sizes — from tiny, nimble frigates to the lumbering leviathan-sized Titans that are said to alter planetary tides if they are not carefully positioned in orbit....

Based on the Fear Street books by R.L. Stine, his novels for older teens, Fear Street is gross, gory, and nostalgic enough for adult viewers but also fun and frisky enough to be teen-friendly. Leigh Janiak, whose debut was the eerie horror Honeymoon, heads up all three, bringing a strong Stranger Things vibe—indeed several Stranger Things cast members pop up in Fear Street, including Maya Hawke and Sadie Sink. The director’s clearly a massive horror nerd so this works as a straight up slasher as well as a clever and slightly meta bit of experimental storytelling....

Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 5 Well, here we are, another week and yet another mission to take down Ginny by turning her own plans against her. This time, in “Honey,” it’s newly reunited Dwight (Austin Amelio) and Sherry (Christine Evangelista) seeking to turn things to their advantage. But what starts out as a simple plan to steal back Al’s SWAT van turns into a power struggle when Morgan (Lennie James) suddenly turns up to muddy everyone’s thinking....

Martin is expressing regret about his unfinished novels, which are now overshadowed by the television run of Game of Thrones, which aired its final episode on HBO on May 19, 2019. At the cost of franchise uniformity, the decade-long delay left the show to work without the safety net of published source material since 2016’s Season 6, and sporadic elements not yet covered in the books had already been introduced in preceding seasons....

Generally speaking, Ragnarok encourages you to not only try different weapons and skills but to utilize multiple weapons during fights. Every weapon in the game has something unique to offer, so it’s often best to take advantage of all their abilities whenever possible. Realistically, though, it’s sometimes difficult to swap between weapons during fights, and it’s really difficult to upgrade everything through the course of the story. That’s why many players may choose to focus on the absolute best weapons and skills that will make the experience as easy as possible....

But as we find out in the first trailer for Godzilla vs. Kong — the fourth entry in the modern-day series of films known as the “Monsterverse” — these two gigantic icons of monster mythology have possibly met before…in the distant past....

Some of its issues come from the structure of the film, which shoehorns very real queer struggles into wacky rom-com tropes too fluffy to contain the stakes at hand. Meanwhile the choice to have one half of the lead couple be so aggressively and repeatedly cruel—while her high school ex Riley, played by the ever-perfect Aubrey Plaza was standing right there having all the chemistry in the world with the other romantic lead—was a fatal one....

It’s hard to stick the landing on any two season arc, let alone one that has centered around a slow burn queer relationship set against the backdrop of one of comics’ most famous cities. Yet as we stand in the shadow of Harley Quinn‘s season two finale, we can safely say that they have done it. Yep, Justin Halpern, Dean Lorey, Patrick Schumacker, and their team have delivered a hilariously funny, satisfyingly violent, and ultimately romantic final episode, which as much as it leaves us wanting more could also be the perfect ending to the brilliant series....
